SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING CONFERENCESHOP 2021: COLOGENY AND THE BEES DIGITAL AGENCY COLLABORATE TO KICK OFF A SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING VIRTUAL CONFERENCE WITH PREMIUM OPPORTUNITIES.
OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – Social Media Marketing Conference, a workshop creatively initiated by The Bees Nigeria in association with Cologeny for SMEs to improve their brands’ presence on the social media space.
With the advent of COVID-19, there was an obvious need for businesses to utilise online means; for the sale of their products and services. So, the two brands came together in March 2021, to discuss and implement an idea that is in the interest of digital creatives and SMEs to help in educating them about different opportunities that can be accessed through the use of social media. This brought about the initiation of a 2-day virtual conference.
“The digital space is already congested for SMEs without crucial knowledge of social media marketing because that is the new oil in making sales,” said Oluwafemi Ogunsanya, the creative director of The Bees Nigerian as well as the founder of Cologeny. The program is particularly targeted at SMEs who are brand owners and individual users of social media tools. The program was proposed to be held after the blueprint has been drafted for proper planning and execution.
The first ideation meeting for the planning of the conference was held on the 4th of March, 2021 where it was said that each session of the program must be short and straight to the point. Modupe Otubamowo, who supervised the planning process later mentioned that “we will need facts and figures to back up our problem statement to give more clarity to the problem that we need to solve”. Hence, the target audience enabled to register for the conference was pinpointed to 50 – 100 SMEs or individuals with the following criteria:
- They must be small businesses that sell on social media.
- Small Businesses that earn #200,000 – #1,000,000 annually.
- They should have at least 100 followers on their social media platforms.
- They can only be social media users and business owners referred by the members of the Bees and COLOGENY.
After all review, the program acronymically tagged, “ConferenceShop (Conference + Workshop) will be holding virtually on the 5th – 6th of June 2021 with the invitation of people that have direct knowledge of the full functionality of these tools and applications. The confirmed speakers coming onboard are Omokehinde Thomas, Blessing Abeng, Iyanuoluwa Aliu, May-May Ogoigbe and Temitayo Ige.
